Risk Factors For Diabetes

A diabetes is a disease thats effects your body's ability to produce or use insulin is hormone. When your body tums the food you eat into enegry also called sugar or glucose insulin release to help transport this enegry into cells.

                         

What is Type - I and Type - II Diabetes ?

         Type 1 Diabetes cannot be prevented. but up to 58 percent of cases of type 2 diabetes can be delayed or prevented by making simple changes in our everyday lives.

In type 1 Diabetes the body's immune destorys the insullin producing cells. but currently the cause remains uncertain. Type 2 diabetes is a little more complex it the combination of our genes and our lifestyle that influences the development of type 2 diabetes and puts at risk.



Risk Factors which may make you suspectable to developing diabetes include:


  • Being over 40 years of age
  • Having a parent, brother, or sister with diabetes
  • Having had gesetional diabetes when pregnant.
  • Having Pre-diabetes                                                                            
  • Having heart disease or heart stroke.
  • Having polystic ovary syndrome.
  • Taking medication for mental health condition.
  • Having high blood preassure and/or taking medication for high blood preassure.
  • Being overweight.
  • Doing little to no physical activity.
  • Smoking Tobacco.

The research shows there is a top reason for type 2 diabetes, because of the rise in obesity among U.S. children, this type is affecting more teenagers. and the type 2 daibetes starts with cells that ae resistant to insullin. That means your pancreas has to work extra hard to make enough insullin to meet your body's needs. There are some preventining options for diabetes like making BMI perfect, doing exercise regularly, and its better always maintain blood pressure perfectly.
